Spartan Beast Training Plan
What is a Spartan Beast?
The Spartan Beast is a challenging 13+ miles Obstacle Course Race with over 30+ obstacles. This race is a competition against yourself and epic terrain with signature Spartan Obstacles that can only be found on the Beast Course. Be prepared for steep climbs, fast descents, heavy carries and maybe even a little bit of swimming.
How to Prepare:
There are various ways to prepare for the Spartan Beast depending on your current activity levels. The number one thing to prepare for will be the hike itself. Most people take the hike lightly and focus on the obstacles. You will be hiking at a higher elevation than you’re probably used to. Here is a training guide that focuses on gradually preparing the joints and lungs for a 13 mile hike. You can blend your current workout routine, cross training days (CT), with this hiking plan.
