Freshly- A Meal Prep Service
If you’ve been in fitness long enough then you’ll know at some point you have to start learning how to cook healthier meals or meal prep for yourself depending how serious you are about reaching your goals. Luckily we live in a time where there are meal prep services available with a touch of a button. Not all meal prep services are made alike. I’ve tried three services and have researched many more. This is my review of Freshly and why I recommend it to you!
Freshly uses fresh, high quality ingredients in their meals. They promote 100% all natural, no artificial flavors, colors or refined sugars. These chef cooked meals are always cooked to order, never frozen, and gluten free. Many companies promote these things but fall short. How do we know as a consumer? Freshly meals stay fresh in your fridge for the whole week. I’ve used other services that pretend to use fresh ingredients but then find my meals are completely moldy after a few days. Freshly stays fresh the whole time.
What I love the most about Freshly is that it is incredibly professional. Right now, meal prep services are fairly new and I think customer standards are still low. Freshly sets the bar high by providing a nutrition label and a barcode for you to scan your meal if you’re tracking your macronutrients!
- They offer customizable meal plans for a variety of dietary restrictions
- You can cancel your service any time
- Healthy snack options are also available
- Customize your delivery size and frequency
- There are new recipes released and updated regularly
- Choosing meals can be filtered by calorie and protein content
Is this service for you?
I love to cook and I know how to meal prep. I like to eat out at least once a week and generally choose healthy delicious food that doesn’t break the bank. Freshly has helped me have more healthy options. I like to use this service as a way to limit, almost, eliminate eating out. Other people like to use this service as a primary way to stay on track. I also recommend this service to people who are still learning how to cook / prep healthy meals as a way to get more ideas and avoid feeling overwhelmed. Not only does this make eating convenient and stress free, I also save money on groceries. It makes me more conscious of the things I buy at grocery stores and I find that I don’t need to purchase all the snack I think I need.
If you do the math, the meals come out to $7-10 each. To me the time and calories saved is worth that price. Check out our recommended products page to use the most recent discount code on your first order!
